Performance piece lasting from 9AM-5PM EST in front of the Charging Bull statue on Wall Street in Manhattan, NYC on Friday September 29th 2024. The artist clocked in using a standard worker’s time clock and then locked themselves in a cage for the duration of the typical workday. The artist made minimum wage from the piece, which was funded with one day of paid time off from the artist’s job at the time of performance. This money was then donated to a nonprofit working towards giving prison inmates fair wages and the right to vote.
