Organ of Shame

A functional organ of shame suspended by it’s own tubes and tendrils. The organ is about the size of a large infant. Viewers are encouraged to participate by using the stethoscope to listen to the organ’s collection of other people’s emissions of shame. They then may add their own shame to be held by the organ using the microphone, and as such allow for the body to process and relieve them of their shame. All rope is handmade. Materials: Blood, Saliva, Speaker, Stethoscope, Growler, Yarn, Dental Floss, Nail Polish, Nails, Hair, Fingernails, Cassette Tape, Twine, and Bandages.
